Coby Guijt
Nurse PractitionerÂ
I have worked for the phase 1 team for the last two years.
After I became a specialised nurse in oncology and palliative care, I started training to become a nurse practitioner in the AVL, which I have already finished.
As a professional, here is where my knowledge and skills can come to expression and be used to their full extent. Treating patients and providing guidance during early clinical research requires medical and nursing expertise, and a nurse practitioner is a key player here. The diversity of clinical pictures and experimental treatments, together with trying to relate symptoms to one of them, are aspects that really appeal to me. Combined with the psychosocial care that is constantly involved, this makes my job fit me like a glove!
