Marjolein van Mil
Nurse Practitioner
My career at the AVL began in October 1999. I started as an oncology nurse working for the phase 1 trials, and for the last seven years I have worked as a nurse practitioner for the phase 1 team.
During these 23 years, I have watched the phase 1 team grow and evolve into what it is today. It is a very inspiring place to work since you are closely involved with new developments in the sector of anti-cancer treatments.
As a nurse practitioner, you have an important role in the treatment and guidance of patients that undergo experimental treatment and participate in research. The different clinical pictures and experimental treatments combined with psychosocial care push me as a nurse practitioner to keep developing my acquired expertise and skills to provide the right care to patients. I continue to be excited about work every day.
